Welcome to Reckoning — Wonderspell

Using print techniques and illustration layering, I created physical damage effects that made the game world feel alive and reactive.
For Welcome to Reckoning, I looked for opportunities to introduce special effects within the constraints of print. One example was the location cards. By using the reverse side of the cards and manually adding illustrated fire effects to the buildings, we were able to create a more visceral experience. Players could physically see their town suffer damage as it was attacked by supernatural enemies.
I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what is possible in tabletop and print formats, especially when small graphic decisions can significantly enhance immersion.
